Overview

Eric Bana reprises his role of Detective Aaron Falk from the Australian crime-thriller sensation The Dry (2020) in Force of Nature: The Dry 2. Based on the page-turner novel by bestselling author Jane Harper, Force of Nature: The Dry 2 sees Detective Falk called in to investigate the disappearance of a woman, Alice (Anna Torv, The Last of Us, The Newsreader), who was on a corporate hiking retreat in a dense Victorian mountain range. But this is no ordinary case – Falk has a vested interest in Alice’s disappearance since she was working for him as a whistleblower. Alice knows secrets about the company she works for, and the people she works with. As the investigation gets underway, the four women who were hiking with Alice soon let slip about suspicions, violence and disintegrating trust among their group.

Why You Should See This Film

The Dry was a box office smash, making $3.5 million during its opening weekend in Australia, which is one of the highest grossing Australian film opening weekends ever. Force of Nature: The Dry 2 features characters that carry over from the first film, but it’s a standalone story, so you won’t be out of the loop if you haven’t seen The Dry yet (although you’ll want to catch up after seeing this one). Keen-eyed locals will recognise certain scenes in this film shot in the remarkable landscapes of the Otways.
