Overview

Little Miss Sunshine, but with ducks! Anxious duck dad Mack can’t fathom the idea of his little family leaving the safety and comfort of their New England pond. But restless mum Pam is keen to stretch her wings and show their kids – Dax and Gwen – all that the wide world has to offer. When a family of migrating ducks alights on their pond with thrilling tales of far-flung places, Pam persuades the family to follow suit and migrate to Jamaica via New York City. However, their well-laid travel plans go awry and their adventure sees them encountering a kooky great blue heron, a caged macaw, and a whole lot of hardened New York City pigeons.

Why You Should See This Film

This funny, feathered family holiday film was penned by Mike White, creator of hit TV series The White Lotus, so you can rest assured that it’s a kids’ film that knows how to keep the parents entertained too. The voice cast is stacked with comedy heavy-hitters like Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Keegan-Michael Key, Awkwafina, David Mitchell (of Peep Show fame), Danny DeVito and a scene-stealing Carol Kane (who also stars in our other Easter school holiday films The Muppet Movie and The Princess Bride).
